I have a 1TB LaCie (dont know about the grande bit) and it works no problem. I have tried Fat, NTFS and currently use WBFS with no problems.

1TB is way to big for a WBFS partition unless of cause your pirating most/all Wii games lol

format is to FAT32 first then use a manager like Wii Backup Manager to format the FAT32 partition to WBFS if WBM doesn't do it try WBFS Manager 3.0

you are aware there are USBLoader that can load games off a FAT/NTFS partition now

    what dont you understand

    1. format your 1TB drive to FAT32
    2. use a WBFS manager like Wii Backup Manager to format your FAT32 formated HDD to WBFS
    3. put you games on your new WBFS HDD using the same manager
    4. hook you HDD up to the Wii and load your USBLoader
    5. choose a game to play

    -------------------------------------------

CFG, USBLoader GX can not load games off a FAT/NTFS HDD so you dont have to worry about a WBFS partition any more if you dont want to use it, this then enables you to use the same drive for other thing

yes, try it then other users with the same HDD then have confirmation that it works with a Wii but honestly it takes a few seconds to do and maybe a min or two to put a test game on it so if you fook up then IMHO you must be stupid no offense

    EDIT

    i give up lol

use a partitioning software to format it to FAT32, windows built in shit will never format a 1TB drive to anything but NTFS

Windows will not format a drive to fat32 if your trying to make the partition larger then 32GB.

    So either

A : Just format it to NTFS and then use a wbfs program to format it to WBFS.

    or

B: Google "Fat32 formatter" and find an alternative program to format it to fat32 and then use a wbfs program to format it to WBFS.

If you do not understand any of that then just pay someone to mod your wii and setup your hard drive for you.
