I was just wondering, if there is a unoffical port of Kodi for Nintendo 3DS?

Also, if such a port was created... what sort of limitations would there be?

Don't expect to watch videos on 3DS at all honestly, they have to run at a terrible resolution, and you're gonna have a horrible experience, the specs for the n3ds should actually be able to run kodi "okay", but the effort required, nobody would bother.

The more likely but still never going to happen, is somebody creating a new web wrapper for plex that works with the 3DS, mostly because of again, the video quality would be horrible anyway.

Resolution is not the biggest limit for video, but bit rates is.
The official average bit rate for 3DS is 2000 Kbp/s(Moflex),which means you can play video with quite good quality.

The 3ds has crape WiFi though.

Kodi isn't about streaming
The 3DS also has extremely slow IO as well...

Plus Kodi has trouble playing some content on even an iPad...

If the content needs to be re-encoded why not make a 3DS specific video player app?

I wouldn't mind something that could play 3D movies off the SD card
