so i'm reviewing a gba clone and the compatibility is quite good so far and i was just wondering if anybody happened to know some roms that have known problems with flashcarts and emulators so i could give them a try...

so far the only one i know of is buu's fury which has that anti-piracy that checks what type of save you are using..

Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku 1 and 2 have some problems in emus...

Also you might wanna test the Classic NES series, there are some problems with them on emus and flashcarts.

    EDIT: Typos

Mother 3, both translated and non?

Kingdom Hearts: Chain Of Memories (the opening FMV IIRC).

I don't remember problematic games, but I suggest you to try each savetype you can find.

This review list few games with their save type (eeprom, sram, flash, etc.)

I assume he's talking about one of the knockoff 3rd party made SPs. They work fine, games should run just as though you bought a legit SP.

I'm not saying to select a savetype manually.
You wanted to try games with possible known problem, right ?

I think the most problems you could encounter would be games which can't save because their savetype are incompatible with your device.
Some flashcard didn't work with flash type saves, while it worked with eeprom type etc.
some flashcard could save eeprom 64k but not 128k etc. (they needed a patch)

So, I said to try each of these games, as they are all using a different type and size of savetype/eeprom, so you can test if all are working fine with your clone.

Try PocketNES as well as other homebrew emulators. Many of them are known to have problems, especially with certain options like overclocking RAM as they rely on dirty hardware tricks much more than official games do. A few even have problems with the Gameboy Micro, such as PocketNES with RAM overclocking turned on.

My flashcard, SuperCard Lite, won't run Advance Wars 2 and Starfy 2 (J). Can't say if that's just me, though.
