Have you broken, or do you know anyone that's broken their Wii wrist strap?

So, have you broken a wrist strap on your Wii remote? Know anyone personally that has done?

    Post your stories here.

Personally we haven't broken any of our wrist straps, we have one of the thinner (old model) ones, and the other Wiimote has a thicker new strap but neither show no signs of damage yet.

It's really, really, really hard to break that strap without being rediculus and like, pulling the wiimote as hard as you can away from your wrist while having the strap on.. I throw my wiimote from my hand all the time and the strap catches it just fine. I tried one day to see if I could do it while just regularly playing, and I couldn't. I must have thrown it like 90 mph and it just came back and hit me in the elbow.. ahah. Plus I saw some strap stress test online and it held up a gamecube and all sorts of stuff. Lemme see if I can find it.

    Here it is.

    Agreed!
The strap is solid and I don't see how you could break it unpurposely.

A friend of mine broke it. Well, not really the strap itself, but the small grey piece of plastic. Obviously a production default.

I have 2 straps(the first generation ones), and I didn't brake them, but I must admit I wouldn't know because I'm not using them at all.....

I removed my straps, but I'm not an idiot that lets go of the Wiimote. I think anyone dumb enough to flail it around and let it go have had at least some sort of alcoholic drink in the process.

    You mean "production fault".

I'm using a strap that came with my digital camera, so my brother and I tried to break the Nintendo strap on purpose, and it was extremely difficult. I can't imagine it snapping during gameplay. You'd have to swing and then drop the remote with such force, you'd be glad it didn't break your wrist and only broke the TV instead.

I still think they are all stupid players who have been too lazy to USE the strap.
And when their TV broke, they manually ripped the strap out in order to make Nintendo responsible for their stupidity.

Don't see how it's possible during regular game play.

    I broke it!
From 07/12/2006 till 05/01/2007 playing just fine!

Then being angry with all these idiots posting: my tv broke and staff like that i thought to try to break it..

I wore the wrist wrap, threw the mote powerfully once, nothing!

With the third ikt broke and the mote hit ultra-fast the wall!

    But it survived! no scratch
