Klonoa Wii coming to US Spring 09

Nintendo Power has announced that the Wii remake of Klonoa Door to Phantomile (originally on the PS1) will be coming to the US Spring 2009. In addition, there are some other snippets regarding the game:

- Magazine refers to the game as just ‘Klonoa’
- Spring 2009 release
- Original design is being kept due to the massive outcry through the official survey
- North American version will see some gesture controls
- B trigger to grab enemies, flick Wiimote to throw
- NES-Style Wiimote, Cube controller, Classic Controller confirmed
- Klonoa 2 (Lunatea's Veil on PS2) remake may happen

Apparently, Namco was considering using that first image as the design for the US release. They were smart though and made it a survey, giving fans a choice. The fans wanted the original design, so Namco kept it.

They can improve them. Maybe an enhanced port though is what they meant. Some people seem to get port and remake confused.

As it is, the Wii IS significantly more powerful than the PS2, so I imagine they could do a lot there to improve it.
