Is it really december 31st? I hope it does not take that long
Place holder dates sure are interesting.
LOL December 31st?
Still a long way to go .
Makes me feel better waiting for my 3DS .
They may be wrong because the date hasn't official been announced.
Also, you misspelled 'dream' in the title.
fixed thanks lol
The fact that it is marked for the last day of the year means that it is slated to be released this year. Probably earlier than December 31. Expect to hear more about it at E3 this year. Also, expect it to be delayed a bunch, maybe even into 2012.
I hope ur right, I love KH games
Well hopefully. Nonetheless the 3DS is having a pretty slow start with games.
It definitely wont be this year, and i hope it is, because they only started development on it last year around November. Do you want a rushed game, or an awesome next "main" game of the series?
December 31st is at the very least.
You could probably hope for the "mystery game" that Nomura has been mentioning for a while now to come this year, however.
true but still, I want to get is asap just watching the trailers and news about it makes me want to get it
i friggin' hope so!
but now i HAVE to buy a 3DS
Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance isn't the next 'main' game of the series by the way otherwise they would've called it KH3.
Kingdom Hearts 3 will probably be a ps3 game.
But you're right. Main game or not, they shouldn't rush a release. I still want it to be good
If the placeholder is set to december 31st and it was shown in the lineup video for this year, it's going to be released this year (If nothing goes wrong). I'm glad to read this.
Edit: Actually, the placeholder is set to that date probably because of the video lineup.
I'm not sure if it's the real release date of the game.
Or maybe it's gonna be released this year, but not December.
No you're wrong, KH BBS was considered as "KH0", a main game, as will KH 3D be referred to as another 'main game' or as Nomura puts it, "It(the game title) also includes 3, which implies that this may be the third iteration of Kingdom Hearts".
He doesn't mean it's Kingdom Hearts 3, he just means it is the next main game after "2".
Hopefully it's Dec 31! I can't wait any longer! Oh by the way, I was bored and made a 3d pic of Sora and Kairi:
If this game is released this year, i will be absolutely stunned. The 3DS tech demo shown off at E3 was hastily put together just to show what a concept would look like. The most recent trailer from the Square Enix even shows some basic gameplay, which looks very alpha-ish in terms of development. Looks like it's sort of a pre-scripted concept that shows what the game will eventually be like.
Birth By Sleep took 3 years to release since it was first announced (it was confirmed that development actually began in '05). The game itself was delayed numerous times and the date changed MANY times between trailers. There's nothing set in stone for the series. Even 358/2 Days had numerous delays.
DDD on 3DS is developed by the same team who made BBS. It has all new Disney worlds and totally new gameplay elements to boot. It's being made with a large budget and given the same story treatment as BBS was, meaning it's internally being handled like it's a main numbered game (again just like BBS).
I would not hold out for a release this year. It depends on how long it has been in development and how smoothly the development goes. We'll be lucky if we get it before Christmas 2012. Not to be a pessimist, but that's how the series works in general. I think we can all agree though that the team should take as long as needed to make it as good as possible. It's already shaping up to be a great one in concept, now for the execution to be polished.
Whenever the Japanese version is released + 8 months.
i think it would be before but for English users next yea
