Hmm. Reason to get Kinect? Not really.

While this is interesting, I don't think it will lead to any interesting developments. I mean, I don't think 3rd party developers will make games for it.

Stupid Kinect. Only good for its user created material...

    Nothing good from actual developers.

What I really want to see is this being paired up with Move to make some ultra-powerful hybrid that will DESTROY THE WORLD!

    That... or something really fun.

Let's not turn this into another "let's bash Kinect " thread, shall we?

I doubt there's going to be much homebrew development for this, it just doesn't seem very likely.
It's very interesting none the less.

Now make a real virtualboy and a plastic gun controller, then gaming will never be the same [IMG]

well done by these guys, how many months? thts some good dedication. It means ppl like the kinect to make it work on different systems or that is more hackable than the rest.

This could lead to some pretty interesting homebrew. I haven't used my Kinect for like ages so I'm looking forward to whatever output comes out of this! [IMG]

It would be nice to replace the PS Eye with the Kinect Camera. That way I only have to have one camera hooked up to the top of my TV.

This is both interesting and meh to me.

However, I don't really see the point.
