I have an original, working copy of FF3(FF6) for my SNES in the English version. I would like to copy this over in whole to a GBA cartridge and be able to run it on my DS so I can play while I am traveling for work.

I'm semi-competent when it comes to electronics, but not a master by any means.

Can anyone point me in the correct direction or give me some advice? I'd really like to preserve this game.

    Thanks

    Paul

The DS does not know how to process SNES instructions, so you'd need an emulator. If you're going to be limited to GBA mode, you'll be out of luck, as the only two emulators are SNES Advance and Snezziboy, and by looking at both compatibility lists, it appears that FF3 is not playable in either.

You may have better luck with an emulator for the DS, but I haven't tested that. According to http://wiki.pocketheaven.com/SNEmulDS_Compatibility_List it's not playable in a slightly older version of SNEmulDS, and http://wiki.gbatemp.net/index.php?title=SN...patibility_List appears to agree (I think the "works in 0.4 Final" text refers to the sound, not actual emulation).

Sorry man, I don't think it's possible at the moment.

I'm no FF whiz, but I thought FF VI(J)=FF III(U). And FF VI is on GBA. Then again, it might not be a perfect port.
