PS1/2 Just got a PS3

First, I got a 360 from eBay, but after it proved to be a scam, I went to Best Buy to get a Pro Bundle, an XBox Live Gold Membership and an additional controller (350 + 75 + 50).
Then... I thought that in the end I would end up getting the Wi-Fi adapter too (+100)...., and probably the HD-DVD attachment too later on (+150, or maybe just an HD-DVD standalone player).

I started shivering and my brain turned upside down when the idea crossed my mind: a PS3!, I could play PS2!, and Unreal 3 too!

Well, I did, I finally got a PS3.

One thing I did realize was that, after getting the official XBM, most of the top notch titles were FPSs.... 90% of them, I love FPSs but I need a little more variety, really. So I'll be posting comments and afterthoughts about my new huge black console. I'm not saying there isn't enough veriety, I'm just saying that for example the PS3 has Ratchet, Drake and Heavenly as top notch games too. (I'm not comparing 360 vs. PS3 games, I'm just pointing the best games on each console). And yes, there are other great games like Assasin's Creed, Guitar Hero/Rock band, but those are multi console.

(At last I'm gonna finish Metal Gear Solid 3

) Let's hope nothing happens and I ended up returning it.

So far, even if it's a 75%, I searched SCEA's site for the games I want to play and almost all of them work flawlessly. (I wanted the 60g model, just because of that.)

Seems like a good decision if you're not the average 'I need shoootaz!" guy and also if you were lucky enough to get one with PS2 backwards compatibility (I don't know the situation in the USA).

Every ps3 has ps2 backwards compability except 40gb version.

But only 75% of the games works or so.

The 60GB and 20GB versions both have ABOUT full BC. And VVolts congratulations on the PS3! Be sure to rent Heavenly Sword, and buy Uncharted and Folklore.

As an owner of both systems IMO you blew it with that decision.

You do realise nobody is forcing you to buy the wireless adaptor and HD-DVD drive addon for the 360, why do people always think these are necessary items for gaming on the 360?

Anyways, have fun with the new system, the PS3 definitely has a few good games and I have had fun playing them. But right now my 360 gets most of my attention.

Do you listen to yourself talk? I never said it had no hardware problems. Every 360 can potentially RROD. And the warranty is worlds better than Sony's.

Guess so is Wii Sports. Both motorstorm and Resistance are better than Wii Sports. Motorstorm isn't the best title but it's FAR from shit. What you gonna say next? The Metal Gear Solid is overrated? Jeezes. Resistance is one of the best titles on the PS3.
