If any of you read my other topic, you would know that I was considering getting a 360. I just got home today and got it set up and everything. The only issue is that I want to play online but I know that is difficult.
Now I have read a bunch of different sites and many threads on this forum but I am still unsure about getting it online.
I have looked at this product, http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.storefro...uct/View/YG1157 which is an Xbox 360 wireless adapter for the PC but I am not sure that this is what I want. I believe that it just connects the controller to the computer.
Another thing is that the 360 is in my room which does not have a router. I have a wireless receiver that connects to the internet downstairs. Now I have heard that you can plug the 360 into a laptop to connect it to the internet but would my setup work as well. Just plugging it into the back of the computer and configuring the settings.

Although I am a little confused about what you are asking, I believe you are wanted to use the wireless connection on your computer to provide internet to your Xbox through the ethernet port. I do the same thing with the setup I have in my room seperate from the house. You have to go into your network connections, find your wireless connection, and configure the properties of it to make it a shared connection. Then just use your provided ethernet cable that you received with your Xbox and plug it into your computer.

If you don't understand what I'm saying I can provide some further detailed instructions.

Sorry if I confused you. I was asking about how to get online. So you are just saying that I can just connect the 360 to the ethernet cable into the back of the computer and then it should work.

I saw that as well and that is to much right now. I think I may just grab a long ethernet cable and run it to the back of my computer.

EDIT: The other option I have thought of is that I could get one of the VGA to AV connectors and connect it to my computer moniter. The screen would be better quality and larger and it would also mean that it would be close enough to the computer that an ethernet cable that I have lying around would be able to reach the back of the computer. How is that for an idea?
Anyone know any cheap places in Australia where I could get one.
