I downgraded to 9.2. Installed Rxtools with Pasta. Set up emunand. Backed up sysnand. Formatted emunad to unlink. Then I set up the Ctrbootmenu so I can get to homebrew and rxtools easy. I then installed FBI and devmenu. Both seem to work. Was I supposed to format sysnand? I figured Id separate my fake games from my legit ones, but idk. Also, are there any things I should know? It wasn't super easy to get to this point and I'm amazed I can actually install games at all

People usually format sysNAND to unlink their nands but it does not really matter which one you format, it still unlinks them AFAIK. You should back up your emuNAND also just in case anything happens to it (accidental update, brick, etc..)

Sounds like you are good.. No more work needed.. Just make sure to unlink your nands that way when u delete your internet settings from sysnand it won't continue to use/enable it

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
