Hacking Just bought majora's mask from eshop well running 9.5 emunand and it won't load

Just got the game from the eshop, freezes when the skull kid loading sign comes up. I'm running 9.5 emunand on an old 3ds xl with no gateway. What do I do to get it working

Similar situation here, but with flipnote 3D, it shows an error msg and freezes my 3ds.
Pokebank works fine(but its in japanese) and I haven't tried other apps/games that I had since downgrading.

I had the same issue with flip note and a couple of other titles. somehow downloading it on 9.5 emunand doesn't work the first time but it always works after i go to data management, delete the title, then re-download it

you should both try and lemme know if it works

For some reason users are having issues with the USA version on emunand while Europe one works fine even with gateway

its because the MT launcher is not designed to work with 9.5, it causes several issues with games, read here https://gbatemp.net/threads/majoras-mask-emunand-9-2.381432/, but he bought retail so he could downgrade emunad to use it, as yours was bought on eshop you dont really have much room to move, either wait to see if MT release a update that works with 9.5, or look into nand decryption stuff (not going into details, read up there is ways and means, but very long winded and 90% of people will probably screw it up or not be bothered)

there is only 3 feasible ways to get it working without a gateway card
1, update your sysnand to 9.5 and redownload
2, take a crash course in nand decryption etc and inject your new tickets into a 7.x-9.4 emunand
3, buy a gateway card

No luck, still freezes. Flipnote studio is supposed to be 64 blocks, but it shows it's 61 blocks under data management. Also, after i exit system settings on Emunand it boots back to Sysnand, is that meant to happen?

Yes, anytime you access system settings in emuNAND it boots you to sysNAND. It's not a bug, but rather how the emuNAND operates. It likely can't emulate from system settings back to the homescreen properly.
