Just bought an ouya console what to do now?

Hi folks as the title suggests I've just bought an ouya for £20 and it's on it way (free delivery) I've read that it needs an new os applied as you can no longer register with the original os because it's dead, I just want it for emulators and that's it, any advice on how to apply android to it? Even if its 4.2? Just so I can load retro arch. Thanks for any help :)

You can probably find a custom rom available. I don't own an Ouya, but if it's rooted and supports custom roms you could probably make it into a decent media center and emulation device.
