Oh, yeah... it's a DS game anyhow, there's no other way to install Haxchi, not even Alucardio's shitty version.
Anyway, I hope you find it useful. Have fun with your Wii U man.

Cool, I will, I got it for like 90 dollars, which is quite cheap here in Chile, where you STILL find them for a minimum of 180 dollars! The analogues are completely destroyed though, but I already bought some cheap anlogue thumbsticks for 4 dollars in Aliexpress :)

Cheers and well, thanks again for the feedback ;)

This is the DS game. Haxchi changes the name and the icon of it... ;)

Do you think is safe to update the WiiU? Because I honestly have no idea which Haxchi this is supposed to be, as officially no Haxchi 4.0 exists. Cheers and thanks for your knowledge :)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

what's weird is the latest version of haxchi is 2.5u2, and the latest version of cbhc is 1.6. No 4.0 anywhere

That's the same thing I am thinking! Oh well.

Some mexican youtuber called Alucardio changed it to appear as the "more updated" version, claiming their team did it, when they only change some graphics and call their own.
OP says he has an "Haxchi Updater" which I pressume it's just the Haxchi Installer but renamed, and maybe by the installer he could update Haxchi.

Yea, while I never heard of Haxchi 4.0 before I also think it's just some older version with a modified version string.
Do you think is safe to update the WiiU?
This modified version string makes it hard to get what Haxchi version is really installed... So maybe you should "update" to 2.5u2 first.... And if you're really afraid of bricking remove that Haxchi 4.0, format the console and crack it again.

//EDIT: You don't see CBHCs boot text, right? Also the icon says "Haxchi 4.0" and not "Do not touch" or "CBHC" ? That said I don't even think Haxchi is active (you have to start it manually) so updating Cafe OS should be safe.... But just to make sure: What does you Wii U say what firmware version it has installed in system settings? IIRC Haxchi changes that version string to 99.99 or something like that.

But how come I start any game, and they simply work? Then that would mean Haxchi is working in coldboot right?

Let's first check everything before updating.

If these games aren't legit then yes but maybe they are all legit? What you could do is install homebrew launcher (via browser exploit), reboot the console and see if you're able to start the homebrew launcher. ;) Also the question for the Cafe OS version string is still open. Look at this (upper, right corner), that's how it should look when Haxchi is active:

(Also does this version string change when you start the "Haxchi 4.0" like a normal game?)

It seems all games are legit, because I start one app called Wup Installer GX or something and it doesn't start (while all games do), and then I start Haxchi 4.0 and after that Wup Installer starts. That would mean I have a NON coldboot WiiU with a bunch of legit games on it... pretty interesting!

By the way, and forgive my lack of shame, to transfer this "legit" games to a new HDD (they are installed on a USB drive) is as simple as transfer them? Or do I have to connect to the original owner Nintendo account (online) and then transfer them? (which would be imposible for me of course), I do keep the original user of course (I change its Mii to look like my brother though hehe)

Cheers and thanks!! ;)

Seems like you made a great deal there! :)

I don't know about that, sorry. Maybe just try it?

//EDIT: You could btw rip the games from the drive to your PC and re-pack them with NUS Packager into a installable format. The bad thing about that is that NUSPackager will pack them with a new, generated key, so they won't be legit anymore. Not sure if there's a way to rip the keys, too, and use them to repack...

Well, I will try to figure out. You know what's cool? It even has Splatoon there, legit game! And it's cool because I remember that back in the day, it was impossible to play this game using a backup. Well, but I don't even know if that game works onlne anymore hahahha.

Cheers to all and thank you everyone!

Yeah. all games work online as may 2020.
You're in Chile, so the eShop is ceasing it's functionality there, but all the other online stuff is working.
