Earlier today I bought a used PSP 2001 with newest 5.51 firmware

Will I still be able to install the custom firmware if I buy a pandora battery

I have also seen a few people say that there will be a new version of the ChickHEN exploit coming sometime soon that will work with 5.51 does anybody else know if if this true

If there really is an exploit out, then it'll come out, just wait if you are patient or trade the PSP you got for an already hacked PSP or an older OFW PSP. Did you purposely buy a used PSP with OFW 5.51?

there was a save game exploit found with MoH:Heros on 5.51, however its just proof of concept right now and doesnt do anything

No I did not purposely buy a PSP with 5.51 firmware I actually got it for only $40 dollars at a pawn shop that was closing down

So will the pandora battery still let me put on the custom firmware?

It might, it really depends on the motherboard.

So are you saying if I have one of the compatible motherboards then the pandora battery will work?

You have to look at the mobo through the UMD tray to see what version it is.
