I dont think it will cause problems.... I bought the card for someone else, so i cant just take it out and test it.


And retman, i already did a search AND looked in the sticky.


Also, When i put it [my brothers one, not my friends] into the USB thing, it makes a scraping noise.


My sandiskone doesnt do this.

If you can't take it out and test it, how do you know that it makes a scraping noise when you put it in the USB reader/writer?

Lol, i have a Kingston Made In Japan but it's only 1GB, will it work? I was thinking to open the card and throw 1GB additional memory in it. Will it work that way?

Japan does not have a different format for microSD, it should work without a hitch. MicroSD follows only one standard, if the company chooses too. I don't want to inject doubt into your confused soul. YES, you also like men. A LOT. Now carry on.

my 512mb japanese kingston microSD works fine no noise maybe your usb reader is busted

yes, make sure all your hardware is in order. I've had that problem before and it drove me up the wall.

i have the same 2GB card, works perfectly, no scraping noises or anything. i use a card reader rather than the micro sd usb reader because it heats up so fast in my crappy usb port lol.

i've had no problems with the card so far. i tend to only buy kingston for some reason lol.

Seriously though, there is no limitation put on it because of where it was made. That would be stupid because almost every major electronics company has things made in China or Taiwan.
