All i can say is wow at this point. Although the region design and route map leaves me dissatisfied and i feel alot more backtracking will be involved, the rest so far leads me to believe this will be a really great game.

The new battle features are making me excited, but how much longer until we see all the pokemon they are going to throw at us this generation?

Pokémon Sunday has just aired and has shown some details about the demo running in Japan from next week. This small demo features a small town where you battle Belle and can go up to a route where Cheren is waiting for you to battle as well. It continues on into the forest It allows you to test out the various new aspects firsthand. However, this demo only runs in Japan.

Let's hope that someone can dump this demo early...

The Japanese Yahoo website has inadvertently leaked Ken Sugimori images of a new Bug-type Pokemon, the previously revealed swan Pokemon, and Shikijika. You can see all three images below. Victini has been confirmed as a Psychic / Fire type. It is the Victory Pokemon and has a new ability called Victory Star. It stands 0.4m tall and weighs 4.0kg. Ken Sugimori images of Aloe, Dento, and Team Plasma were also leaked.[/p]

I just realized, I haven't seen any previews with old Pokémon other than Entei, Raikou and Suicune. Why hasn't Nintendo shown any?

i like the bug pokemon a little... well i like it the best out of the three. but i think its gonna be like the caterpie or weedle of this game.

also victini is psy/fire whitch is pretty cool. i might consider getting it. im used to its looks now so it doesnt bother me that much.

Game Freak director Junichi Masuda has updated his blog with an unexpected announcement. Pokémon Black and White Versions will only feature Generation V Pokémon up until the player acquires the National Pokédex. In the update, Masuda said that his intention was to give players both new and veteran an equally new experience, akin to Pokémon Red and Green/Blue Versions back in Generation I.

This same line of thought seems to have been used when the decision was made to reset the route numbers back from route one, and placing Isshu in a remote location from the rest of the Pokémon world. It remains to see what, if any, non-standard features from the established Pokémon world will be included in Pokémon Black and White.

Pokémon Black & White’s Cross-Gen Transfer Method Revealed

Serebii.net has a quick explanation of how you’ll be transferring Pokémon over from previous games to Pokémon Black & White. This is done through the use of an ingame feature called the “Pokéshifter.”



Located somewhere within the Isshu region is a building — similar to the Pal Park from Hg/Ss and Di/Pe/Pl — that will allow you to connect with previous games, provided you have two DSes. Once you connect, an option will appear in the Gen IV games to allow you to complete the transfer. You’ll be able to move six Pokémon at a time, although, there’s no mention of whether there are any limits per day (or any other timeframe).



Capturing the monsters on the Black & White end involves a minigame where they’ll pop out of a set of bushes on the DS’s top screen. Using the touchscreen, you’ll need to aim a reticule to shoot a Pokéball with a bow (a…Bowkéball?) to capture them.



The minigame in Black & White will require you to adhere to its time limit.
