@brausm08: Wii Backup Manager can help you to get rid of the update partition. I don't know what happens to those games you mentioned, we'll have to try and if it's a problem I'll add multi partition support. My goal is to keep the code as small as possible so I can bring support for DiscEx extracted games back in.

@All: Changed some things and loading speed is better again. No issues on gameplay for the games I tried, but loading speed still needs improvement. Still have some things in mind to change. I really hope I can work this out.

*is still awaiting a release*

...but take your time, man. I'm glad to hear there is progress to begin with.

If you still need a tester I'm here & I got some free time

You see im seeing the wifey off today, so she will be gone all month so my son can see his Gps. This means more time for me to browse the forums looking for interesting things to experiment with. Also I have [email protected] just in case you need to know.

OverjoY, you really seem to make progress, congratulations

! It's nice that at least some people see the true potential of UNEEK/SNEEK, hopefully this will help to gather more attention and more support from other devs in the end.

Though, I have a question...I know that it's pretty much impossible to make the SNEEK/UNEEK-Menu read the games from a NTFS/EXT-Partition, or make the NAND-Emu work from another filesystem. That doesn't bother me, the way that I'm using SNEEK/UNEEK is only with a loader, I don't need the Systemmenu at all. Now, Sorgelig managed that the games could be loaded from NTFS with his loader. Has this anything to do with the DI, or is this mainly handeld by the Loader? (I'm not gonna lie, I would love to see EXT/NTFS-Support in a later version, but for now, I'm just curious how it works).

Thanks in advance for the answer, and again, good luck

Thanks Blue-K, I think I'm close, but I still have to solve the speed issue and I really hope I'm able to.

Then NTFS/EXT support in SNEEK/UNEEK. I don't think it's impossible, but for shure adding support isn't simple and a lot of work. Maybe it's an improvement, but how much are you really gonna win with this. I mean what can we do on another file system what we can't do with FAT32 and of course I mean with the Wii.

I enjoy "playing" with the Wii and I'm not afraid to take a challange, but sorry this is something I ain't gonna do.

I don't know how Sorg did this. I asume almost nobody knows and to be honest I never tried his DI module and loader, also because I don't need wbfs support in UNEEK. In my opinion DiscEx will always be the better choice.

wbfs support in uneek will lower the step for people to try uneek+di. Most of them jump into the modding scene with an usb loader.
The most logical choice there is having games as wbfs files.
Not everybody will rush directly to the shop for a new usb harddrive for their wii.
This is my only explanation for the need for other partionning systems like ntfs and ex2-3-4.
If you convert your games for Uneek, you can't use them with your usbloaders anymore. For that reason, people find it to much problem to test Uneek out.
Joyflow and Joyloader GX are a nice step in the good direction, as people see their favorite user interface coming back alive in uneek.
I also think that a 1 game = 1 file is easier to maintain than a setup with multiple files/game. Only a very minor part of the community is interested in the different files that make the game. This could be just my personal opinion.

So, OJ, are you planning on adding a "Rip disc" option into Joyflow, and if so will it be directly to DiscEx format? I hate having to rip a game, transfer to my PC, convert and transfer back.

FYI, s/uneek+di can already do that directly from the system menu... I've never tried it personally, but I know its there.

Personally, I think if a Rip disc option were added to joyflow it should support the discex format if that is the format supported by the di module and wbfs file format if it's running OverjoY's new di module that supports wbfs files instead of games in discex format.

Hey OverJoy, I have replaced sorgeligs DI plugin with yours just for the lolz and launched sorgeligs NANDemu on a USB hard drive. These are the results:

- boots fine
- NTFS support works (for games)
- no DI menu
- UniiLoader lists games in NTFS partition
- Any attempts to launch a game result in the error message: "Cound' t open Disc" or "Waiting for DVD".

This should make clear, that NTFS support doesnt come from a DI plugin alone, but also from SNEEK. So if you want to add NTFS support in the future, you have to make changes in SNEEK and your DI plugin.

EDIT

Now I have replaced sorgeligs armboot.bin with the official kernel.bin of SNEEK (but renamed to armboot.bin) and launched it via sorgeligs IOS253 USB edition. The results:

- boots fine
- once in the Wii menu, the Wiimote doesnt work though it's clearly connected with the Wii.

2 in nandslot.bin file is more then number of nand = 1

What I did was replace the DI from usb://sneek/ with this the one that supports WBFS games. Any one have any idea about this?

Wiimm's wit.exe can do that, I'm not sure of the exact command, but I'm sure it's bound to be fairly straight forward

I converted from discex to iso using:

copy x:\folder_name y:\game_name.iso

I imagine if you put .wbfs instead of .iso it will work.

the "folder name" is obviously the folder where the discex game is (and all it's subfolders).

sounds like u are having switch2uneek problems (as AFAIK nandslot.bin is only used in switch2uneek). I would move all the emulated nand subfolders back to USB:\nands\nandname\

then create a clean nandpath.txt and nandslot.bin using ModMii or w/e and overwrite the ones u currently have on your HDD. Hopefully that fixed the problem

I know eGurgle created a GUI using wit that can convert to any image. And option to extract any image to Sneek (DiscEx) format. And there is an option to convert Sneek Games (folders in usb:/games/id6) to any image (cISO, WBFS, WDF, WIA).

I dont know if I can post GUIConverter here,, but you can google it: "egurgle guiconverter"

Sorry guys, but I'm a bit busy these days.

There are still issue's to fix in the cDI with wbfs support, but people who want to try can contact me now.

As I said, it's not ready enough for an official public release.

Things to fix:

- Speed issues
- Add support for wbfs files with update partitions (the module skips files with them for now)
- Fix a bug that it can't find the files in the fst for some games (Happens if on the original game disc the data isn't at the end of the disc)

Things that need to be tested:

- Support for split files
- Support for dual layer disc games

Known issues:

- Map names containing more then 31 chars are skipped (limit of diconfig.bin)
- The more games in the wbfs map the longer it takes to load for UNEEK

OverjoY

NOTE: JoYflow isn't compatible with this module yet, but will be soon after this module is totaly finished
