No, I do mean system update.. I know it seems unlikely, but sweeping GBA in this two recent discussion (this thread and https://gbatemp.net/threads/controller-analog-stick-moving-by-itself-but-not-joy-con-drift.610413/) we are now complaining about a different kind of drift.

I already had drifting joycon in the past but never of these kind. It was always a matter of inaccurate positioning, the calibration was always showing a trembling movement. Here nothing is happening when I try to calibrate, everything seems fine. I get back in the menu and the analogue start to move all way right. In some games I have no problem at all (metroid) while in Breath of the wild I have some phantom movement...
Is it worth a redeploy of the Emunand firmware? Or maybe see if there is a joycon firmware update?

Simply spray "contact spray" into the gap from the analog stick.
Then circle the stick a few times and the drift is history.

All that is, is a temporary fix

Much like all those people “cooking” their Xbox’s back on the day to “fix” the red ring of death

Temporrary fix for more then a year??
I don't think so.
To place a new stick is also a temporary fix!!!
