Oh wow lol. I never thought I'd see the day when Nintendo charges for their online capabilities.

I am assuming that this only applies to monster hunter. So they are going to have a monthly fee for every game instead of one flat rate. Hopefully it will be worth it and won't be like any of my other laggy online wii experience. I really hope it doesn't use friend codes. Also the free trial is nice since the shortest period is 800 points which requires a person to buy 1000 points. I hope this isn't going to be a large trends where instead of lots of shovelware they start charging online for each individual game. I couldn't imagine if there were 10 or so game with good online how much it would cost.

If I am wrong feel free to point it out.

Did everyone miss the notice that this won't use Friend Codes?
    Or even the Nintendo servers?

The online will be on Capcom's own servers which is more than likely the reason for the fee.

I'd rather not pay $8 a month when I could spend $8 a month on something better, like donating to trackmania.

Behind you! I know you looked!
My guess is with fees, this game will completely flop over here in Europe, but of course they can count on the Koreans to make this a massive, very lucrative success anyway. And I don't expect I'll play this unless it's very, very good. Can't understand one bit why people would pay monthly fees to play a game.
