Go, Go Gadget GO! Or perhaps don't....losing around 15% of your sales in a standard week isn't great, especially not when that was only 708 in the first place!

    in before psp hate.

good to see sony are doing well in japan. Go was a failure and i'm pretty sure everyone can see that, its probably the umd-less factor that its doing so bad.

Now if only people cared about the PSP in the rest of the world. In the past year it went from being my least used system to my most used system. It doesn't get enough respect.

Seriously though, people who care about sales figures are not real gamers. Sorry, but only accountants should care about sales. This sort of talk is for gaming posers. It's crap that should remain confined to shitholes like neogaf and vgchartz. (Both are filled with 30 year old web addicts who spend more time talking about games than they do actually playing them.)

Oh and the PSP Go is a great system. Don't knock it till you try it.

I always found it very strange, that they divide the different types of models of handhelds (especially of the DS) but not of the consols?! I don`t think that there is any reason to do that, since I don`t think that there is anyone, who decides to purchase two different models of the same system. And if they do this with the different kind of DS-models and the PSPgo why don`t they do the same thing with the other PS3slim or the 360slim... I find that very inconsistent.

I know it might be because this way you can see how the different types of models have sold themself but in a comparison like it is done in this thread I think the sales of all models should be accumulated per kind of system or divided for all. I prefer the first, because it shows the real interest in the respective system, no matter in which form or model! But one of these should be chosen to ensure a real comparison!!!

That`s what we get when we do it like I previously said:

    1. 57.582 - Nintendo DS
    2. 36.342 - Playstation Portable
    3. 33.057 - Playstation 3
    4. 25.072 - Wii
    5. 5.065 - Xbox 360
    6. 1.675 - Playstation 2

As far as I can see we clearly see, which system sold most...

71074 is the total Sony sales.
82654 is the total Nintendo sales.
Not to mention the fact that DSI/LL sales beat PSP easily. It just happens that there are 2 DSs people want so sales are being split.

The PSP Go is always last in the hardware charts, it has been since like shortly after launch. Hell it's lucky to crack 1,000 per week.

You probably won't see the DS beating the PSP until the Pokemon/Okamiden launch next month.

If only you read. Stick to the 3DS section, it's already a lost cause.

It's not so much the pspGo that puts people off, more the price. It's the psp with a few added things here and there. Not worth the amount it costs.

Hmm, I didn`t know that Sony and Microsoft completely discontinue the previous models when new ones are launched... I still think for the sake of comparison the PSP and DS models should be accumulated but you`re probably right why the old PS3 and 360-version aren`t listed!

82654 Nintendo sales >71074 Sony sales
    57,582 DS>36,342 PSP
52773 DSI/LL sold Means the DS is beating the PSP.

Multiple DS models counted against one DS model is far from "being beaten". Software charts count systems in this fashion for a reason.

All DSI and DSILL play the same games. DSI/LL systems easily beat PSP.

They're still separate models and are in production. Sony only has one PSP 3000 model and the the Go (we don't talk about the Go though, it's a fancy paperweight).

Also, type with proper capitalization please, it's driving me insane.

My main point is that they are both DSs and the only difference between them is their design. DS and DS lite are similar while DSI and DSILL are similar.
    Both play the same games.
PSP 1k and 2k are similar while the 2k and 3k are similar.
The PSP GO isn't that bad, but Sony still sells the 3k which is infinitely better than the go.
Big hands + the PSP GO= [IMG]

And my point is that the PSP 1000 and 2000 and 3000 play the same games but the 1000 and 2000 are no longer in production and no longer counted on hardware charts. DS Lites and DSi's and DSi LL, on the other hand, all play the same games and are all in production. People buy multiple DS models but won't bother buying a new PSP model, mainly because nowadays PSP models are either the 3000 or the Go, so basically it's only the 3000.
