Hardware Japan 3ds eshop connectivity in the US?

Sorry if question has been asked before but I was planning on importing a used japanese 3ds black and white model off of amazon. i Live in the US and was wondering will I be able to connect to the Japan eshop from the US.

I want to be able to use the wifi features in Terry's wonderland 3D ( buy eggs,battle,etc...)

Yes my wife and daughter both have (J) models and have no problem with eshop.
