the dutch nintendo website has now listed jam with the band as upcoming game, and added some info about the game.

the wii channel is also being localized, so you can use your TV speakers for this game.

the game is based on daigasso band brothers DX, same style/menu's/features.

Wasn't this originally planned as a DS launch title? And now it's due to come out when the DS is reaching the end of its lifecycle?

this one wasn't planned as launch title, this is the sequel of that launch title which they never bothered to finish and release.

Fact: Most games that are published in the Netherlands are either English or multi-language. Only on extremely rare occasions the game only includes Dutch, like the localized prof. Layton 2. So no need to worry, it WILL BE in English.

Fucking can't wait. I've been playing DX in Japanese with a shitload of songs I've grabbed for ages, and I want song English menus to go around.

As far as the downloads go, it's probably going to be like the Japanese game, where it will be blocked by flashcarts. The saves each have a unique ID for use with the servers to get songs, so you'll have to buy it if you want to get songs from their service. Otherwise, if they don't work right away, the save editor programs for the Japanese release will be modified for the new game's support and files could be distributed elsewhere and manually imported.

Can't wait for this though, I really can't.

Why would you want it to be the original DBB? DBBDX is infinitely better
