Jailbroken PS4 issue pkg games

Hello, I have successfully jailbroken my ps4 (thanks to the persons that helped me) but I have an issue : I tried to install my first pkg game with update (black ops 3) that I found on google. I own the bo3 disc game, I tried it on my non jailbroken ps4 fat with the latest game update 1.33 and on my jailbroken ps4 pro without the game update and there is no lag. But with the pkg files of the game and update there are a lot of lags . I tried to install only the pkg games and there is no lags. (Btw I only tried in the zombie mode). So I tried to install another update pkg file with another update version (1.32 instead of 1.33) but same issue. Why ? I think if it happened to the first pkg file I have ever installed, it will surely happen again…

EDIT 1 : I remembered I had another old PS4, so I jailbraked it and I installed the same pkg files with the update on it there are no lags. Here are the differences between the two consoles :
- old PS4 9.00 500gb HDD.
-PS4 Pro 9.00 1tb SSD (Samsung 870 EVO).

For the jailbreak, I tried :

-PS4 Pro :The ESP32 method with ps-phive and goldhen v2.3 from this guide : https://gbatemp.net/threads/ps4-exploit-guide.497858/

-Old PS4 : The USB method with goldhen v2.3 and karo218 host from this guide : https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-ps-phive-for-ps4-fw-9-00-exploit-host-menu.621028/

So what can be the reason ? It could be the jailbreak, the SSD, the PS4 Pro itself, the pkg files not working with with ps4 pro,etc…

EDIT 2 : I think I found out : I initialized the PS4 Pro, then I tried the USB Method with karo host and no issues. Then I turned off and on the PS4 Pro and tried again with the ESP32 and ps-phive (after the jailbreak, I let the ESP32 plug in the usb port). It worked well for a few games of zombie mode but then (after a while) a notification pop up saying something about network (I don't remember exactly but something like the connection has been lost/interrupted). After this notification, lags came back. Since the PS4 pro was connected to the ps-phive Wifi, I assumed the issue came from the usb. So I tried this : do the jailbreak and right after the goldhen load, I disabled network (disable the connect to the internet setting) then I unplugged and since, no issues (if I unplug the ESP32 before I disable the network, the same notification appears and so the lags come back). Is it because you always have to disable network after loading the jailbreak ?

The network shouldn't have anything to do with it, once cached you no longer need the internet. You don't even need it then for a lan, but the ps4 will not even allow lan if you disable the internet on the ps4.

I am not talking about the real network with internet but about the ps-phive wifi to be connected or the host will boot in normal mode instead of ESP MODE ?

1-Did you cache the exploit to your system?
2-How bad is the lag?

It is known that backports can make games run poorer or lag more than if you were just running a legitimate copy of your game

Yes, it automatically did it the first time (as it says in the ps-phive guide with the ESP MODE )

I did it again to be sure and show you so I deleted all the browser data. Here is exactly how I did :
I connected to my real wifi with internet and Al-azif DNS then I loaded on the browser « prb123.ir/ps-phive » and this appeared :

Then I connect to the ps phive wifi and it works :

But if I disable network (so disconnect from ps-phive), it’s in normal mode :

I forgot to say that I power off my ps4 pro every time, so that’s maybe why I have to connect to ps-phive wifi every time ?


For your second question, the game works perfectly without a lag if I do what I said in my first message in the « EDIT 2 ».

You just have to turn off the PS4's wifi

But you saw in the photo I sent, the exploit is cached. If I turn off my ps4 then turn it on and if I go in the browser with the PS4’ WiFi turned off, it display this :

Yeah, seems normal to me, but I'm also on 5.05 using @Prb and @Leeful 's exploit. It's never kp'd on me.

I am sure there are lags when I don’t do what I said in « EDIT 2 », I tried multiple times. You said that I only need internet for the first time to cache and I am okay with that. But to load the browser in ESP mode, you need to connect to the « ps-phive » WiFi once (which has no internet) then you can disconnect from « ps-phive » wifi by disabling network and load the host without the ESP or ps-phive wifi enabled. BUT, if you turn off your ps4 (which I do every time), you need to turn off again the network to connect to « ps-phive » once. Can’t someone try that ?

So in other words : at every startup of the ps4 after powering it off, you have to connect to the « ps-phive » wifi once (at every startup) to enter in ESP mode (then you can the host as much as you want until you power off your ps4)

Bh the way, I tried again, after loading the jailbreak with goldhen, I unplugged the ESP32 in game before disabling ps-phive wifi (so with the ps-phive wifi on), the notification saying the connection has been interrupted/lost was displayed then the game started to lag, so I am sure it is related.

That is normal then, but I do not know about a game lagging as a result. Could be backport related as said above or it could be a fluke. I no longer play the ps4, never really did, but I don't remember lag issues. I did not use the esp though.

Oh okay, there is more lag since I know what to do to fix that but I still wanted to understand why. Do you think other persons who has ESP32 let their ESP32 plug in and have to connect to ps-phive every time they turn off and turn on their ps4 ?

I never had lags on games , as @godreborn said, could be an issue with the backport .
I never let the esp32 connected once jailbreak done (I’m using mode 2 esp32 and PS4 connected to my hotspot).
Could be an issue with the ssd on your PS4 pro
I use only extended storage to play games, my internal hdd has only system and homebrews

With the ESP32 mode 1 do you know if you have to connect to ps-phive wifi again after turning off and on the ps4 ? Because the host won’t load in ESP mode if I don’t connect the ps4 to ps-phive wifi every time the first time after turn off of the ps4.

The PS4 needs to be connected to wifi if you are using an esp to do the kernel exploit.
Its the same with any host, thats how the ps4 communicates with the esp device.

If the internet/wifi connecton is turned off the host cannot tell the esp to simulate a usb drive to run the kernel exploit.

If you are using a regular USB to run the kernel exploit and not an ESP device, then the inernet wifi can be turned on or off.

Thanks for your answer, I didn’t try but I guess there are no lags with the USB method with PS-phive since it has to do with the network being disconnected after a certain time (it will never disconnect with my home wifi and I don’t know why but it will after a certain time with the ps-phive wifi or immediately if I unplug the esp before disabling ps-phive wifi).
