The user Zerrix who seems to know his stuff mentioned in another thread that 1.6 firmware will be released soon and that it would allow the user to dump data from the 360 to a PC directly. Is this true? If so I would wait!! But as Bob Marley said 'I don't want to wait in vain'.

It would be great to be able to backup originals without extra hardware. Anyway let me know if you know anything, thanks for reading!

Yes, like I said, this IS true. But many people say the new function isn't so comfortable as it seems, they rather rely on the old method. But I guess since it hasn't got any new features expect this inside for now, you can flash it up to 1.5. But anyways, what's the problem? Flash it to 1.5 now and then to 1.6 when it comes out

Thanks for your reply! What did you mean by 'many people say the new function isn't so comfortable as it seems, they rather rely on the old method'?

Oh and I would flash it now and later on with 1.6 but it costs me $50 each time 8)

You gotta open your Xbox Drive and connect it to the PC if you want to read out games from your x360 to your PC each time, and therefore many people on the iNet meant that having a drvie in your pc is much more comfortable than each time connecting the x360 drive to the pc.

And I'd recommend you to flash now to 1.5 because who knows when xTREME 1.6 is coming out? ^^
You should flash it now or you don't know what you're missing!

What?? That's way over priced! You shouldn't pay more then $25.

that's considered cheap in my area

all the other places wouldn't do it for less than $80.
Same here. $60-$80 around here.
Wow. I've never seen anyone ask more then $30 here. (Haha, Canada rocks!)

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
