Is there a way to check if the update was successful?

I tried to update with the old method, and after hitting yes a '2' pops up, then I can't do anything.

I noticed the readme says you can check version by hitting about on the nds main menu, but when I hit that a screen pops up that just says 'AppName:G6 Manager'

no, he wants to know which FIRMWARE he has.

@Thanubis, 4.8?!?!?!?!? latest is 4.9E !

No, the latest PC software is 4.9e. The most recent version of the g6 loader program actually on your DS is 4.8. Isn't the firmware updated by the g6loader file, which is tied to g6 manager version? Or am I just totally confused?

Hopefully I can figure out how to get mine to update--dying to play some Geometry Wars.

Okay, so I went ahead and reformatted my G6 and then ran the maintenance utility. Starting anew, the 'old method' successfully updated my G6 to loader 4.8, and I've gotten Geometry Wars to work.

Thanks for the responses.

    in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma

    I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

    nope
