    right guys and gals,

ive been given a black wii running 4.2e(Bootmii as IOS,HBC Installed) but basically its semi-bricked and i am unable to acess the system settings. ive checked everything and put it down to someone running ANY Region Changer on it, as it was on the SD card.

i did try and reinstall the NAND but someone didnt bac it up

am i right in thinking i can just reinstall 4.2e using YAWM to reinstall 4.2e which i have from my own wii and i wont mess up the softmods.

edit: also i should mention i tryed using modmii earlier and couldnt download any files [IMG]

If it's already running 4.2E, reinstalling 4.2E will not fix it.

You need to run anyregion changer and change its region back to Europe.

Figure out what system menu is installed and what the settings are, then decide what system menu and region you want the wii to be. Either install the system menu that matches the current settings or set the settings to match the current system menu, or change both to your pleasure. A syscheck will tell you the currently installed system menu and region.

Reinstalling a system menu will remove priiloader if it was installed. But other than that, it will be fine.

For modmii...have you checked your firewall settings? It works on my end (and on more ppl's ends), so unless some service is suddenly down, I doubt it's the program. Either way...if not modmii, NUSD lets you download the system menu as well. [IMG]

I know it has already been suggested by troy512, but it would seem you may have missed his words, try Wii Mod. Wii Mod is specifically designed to help find and fix issues like this. If it can't seem to find anything wrong with your IOSs and region settings then it is likely, as suggested by mauifrog, that you need to reinstall the system menu over the current one. You can install a new system menu easily in Wii Mod as well. Give it a shot and let me know how it works out for you, if it can't fix it Ill be even more interested in what could be wrong with your wii.

What happens when you go to the setting? It does not look like a region brick. Reinstall ios80, SM 4.3e, and priiloader 0.7. This will likely fix your issue
What where the settings at in ARC
