iTunes wont install on Vista

Help! iTunes 7.4 (the latest) wont install on my Vista. Halfway through the install it says I need to close windows explorer (Process Id: 468) but I don't have it open! I have iTunes 7.3 installed on my computer right now, but I don't want to uninstall in case I'm not able to install it again. Does anyone know what I should do?

I was under the assumption that iTunes was not compatible with Vista.

Not really, you can just run it again, that's if it doesn't restarts itself.

You're right, so he can't end the process... My choice of words was bad, I made it seem like your PC would break. I actually meant that it won't work until you restart it.
