The problem comes when someone starts stating their opinions as fact.
I've been using Macs since they came out, i've owned several computers over the years, and since the death of the Amiga, Macs are what I use most. To some that would make me an idiot because I could have gotten the exact same computer for hundreds less, but I'm not an idiot, and I see a big enough difference between Macs and PCs that I gravitate towards Macs. I could justify it, but someone would come back with some fallacious attack and all the anti-mac fanboys would jump in and start hooting. The irony here is that one of the things leveled most against me when I tell someone I use a Mac, is that Mac users think they are superior, all the while the accusers tout their "superior" machine. I never say "I use a Mac because they're better, or I'm better, or whatever, yet I'm the arrogant one. Figure that one out.
Fanboys calling fanboys fanboys is just a big clusterfuck of irony. A Jaguar is a waste of money when a Chevy is faster and cheaper, but that's a straw man argument. People choose what they like for their own reasons, their reasons are different than your reasons, and so what. I paid close to two grand for a G4 Mac in 2002, and I still use it very productively for video and audio work, I'd say I got my money's worth there. If it works for you, and you're happy with it, it really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. I don't use a PC very often, but I don't think those that do are stupid, because I'm not a hater, and I realize that it really doesn't matter.
xcdjy is right, everybody whines about something, I dig that. I'm just whining about haters. I hate those haters!
