I was hoping to get a new flashcart and hand my current one down to a friend of mine. I was looking at the iTouch, but it's relatively new on the market. I saw a short and undetailed review of it at the GBAtemp homepage, but I was looking for a more in-depth and personal review. If anyone had any info about the cart, please post it here. Also, does it play music and movies?

note: I currently have an M3 Simply. I am also aware that the CycloDS is pretty much the best out there right now, but was wondering about the iTouch.

if you are in a hurry and don't want to wait for people's opinions on it... i would suggest something different (SC-DS1, edge, acekard 2, dstt). all of those are roughly the same if not cheaper than the iTouch

I was looking for something a little different in terms of user interface. I already have an M3 Simply, so I was thinking the iTouch would be a change in feel.

Edit: thanks for the link Vato. Reading it now

1)I've read that the physical build quality is only mediocre; what's your opinion about that?
2)Is the menu and everything easy and intuitive to operate?
3)How is the quality of video/music and gameplay compared to your old cart (if you had another one before this).
4)The review from the link earlier said that it's difficult to remove the cart from the DS. How bad is it?
5)Do you like how the MicroSD slot operates? Is the spring loading mechanism smooth?

Overall, what would you score the cart out of 10?

Well that's most of my concerns for now, so thanks [IMG]

is it worth getting the itouchds instead of... say acekard 2 or SC-DS1 for the same, if not cheaper, price?

    pros/cons?

I couldn't agree more. But if you want to spend about 10 bucks more for one of the best carts available, then I'd go with SCDS1. But AK2 is unbeatable at that price.

It sucks. AK2 is much better, and cheaper.

What does the acekard2 have that other carts do not? I have an M3 Simply already, so would AK2 be a big difference? Also DSTT is only $20, would that be a good step?

Any other responses towards the iTouch would be appreciated too.

    Right about...here.
Perhaps because the Itouch is a new flashcard, they prefer that you buy a different one that has more credibility. If you really want the Itouch, some did say that despite its initial appeal, it isn't really that great a card.

while I am still waiting for it to fly over the pacific before I get mine, is it spring loaded or do you have to have some good tweezers to pull it out. that way I know if I need blue tape for it or not.

Thanks for the answers. I guess I'll be waiting a bit more for more feedback and reviews from others, since I'm in no hurry to get a new cart.

I use blue tape as a pull tab for the carts that are not spring loaded.

This is an EZ4 lite I got, it is not spring loaded, so I got blue tape on the microSD. this allows me to pull the chip out when I need to, otherwise I would have to file away part of the casing like the gbatemp reviewer did with his.
