This is a very basic patch for Itadaki Street DS, the predecessor to Fortune or
Boom Street for the Wii. Like the Wii game, it is a crossover of Super Mario
and Dragon Quest characters into a board game resembling Monopoly.

This patch translates the character names, venture cards, and most of the
graphics that form the main gameplay menu, the stock menu, the buy/sell/
trade menus, ranking screens in-game, and the board settings menu.
It does not translate system messages, the main menu, or any character text.

Most of what is done is very rudimentary, and I feel that I have come to the
limit of about what I can feasibly do by myself. I release this as a proof of
concept. There is room for improvement: some graphics are heavily abbreviated
in order to fit into the allotted space. But I believe this patch translates
enough that anyone familiar with the Wii game should be able to play without
outside assistance.

For the future, I do have the ability to dump the text from the .itms files that consist of most of the game's text. However, it does not use any standardised encoding and I can't identify the kanji in order to cleanly dump the text. Below is all the kanji found in the standard font ripped from the arm9.bin file.

Identifying these would allow for most of the game's text to be dumped. From here, a translator would be required in order to translate the text: most of what graphics I did translate are borrowed from Fortune Street.

Thanks for doing this. This old translation has been on hiatus FOREVER

It's nice to have something that makes it easier to play in English.
