Issues with NMM when playing GC Animal Crossing backup on USB

    I've recently set up my Wii so it could run backups from my USB drive, using USB Loader GX (r1998) from my SD and DIOS MIOS v2.2. So far, everything seems to be working as I can play all of my Gamecube backups without issues, most of the time. However, I've encountered a strange problem when trying to use No More Memory on the US Animal Crossing. It seems to work for a bit, as K.K. does not inform me that I don't have a memory card when I start the game. However, when I first try to save (about 10-20 minutes into playing) the save will fail and tell me that I do not have a memory card inserted. I've tried using NMM on another game, Super Mario Sunshine, and it seems to work perfectly. Additionally, I tried launching Animal Crossing using the dios-mios-booter as well, with the same issue. Is there a way to fix this, or is this just a compatibility issue?
