I found an undubbed version of Pandora's Tower and it does load correctly with Dolphin, but converting it to WBFS and loading it on my actual Wii via USB Loader GX, I get nothing. Any solutions to this?

Before reformatting, you can just try putting that 1 game on the fat32 partition. There's no extra work involved in splitting larger games, tools like USB loaders or Wii backup manager automatically split this into 4gb chunks.

Anyway, can you also post a syscheck?

And also confirm you're running the latest version of gx from @blackb0x 's signature

One point. NTFS is not made for SSD drives and normaly a Windows only filesystem, its for HDD. But the SSD drives have high quaility cells and a extra controller for wear leveling, thats why journaling file system like ntfs xan be used on it. SSD is a flash drive wich should be normaly formated with fat32/exfat wich protects the cells and gives most compatibilty between Operatingsystems . And so also fat32 gives best compatibiltity for homebrew.

I dont know anymore if i had wii games over 4gb. If iam right there was a option in wbfs manager, that when converting, empty space should not taken over to new format. So the output file is smaller.

This is an interesting statement. Could you please provide verifiable sources for it?

For wii especially wbfs (Wii Backup File System) was written to fit one game on fat32 in the max size of 4gb.

This is from the begining if inventing wbfs, but it says, preferd format is fat32.

Thanks for the sources, but none of them prove your statement that NTFS file system was not created for SSD drives, Actually one of those sources claim that using a journaled file system like NTFS on a flash drive is not recommended, but doesn't mention anything about SSD drives. And yes, I already know that SSD drives are actually flash memory on steroids.

Ya its sometimes hard...
How there is written NTFS is a journaling system that has many write cycles, because " it is targeted "log" file system requires frequent recording of disks during reading and writing". And how u know Flashdrives have a limited writecycles and is the primary factor for reducing their Lifetime, its the same if MicroSD, USB Flashdrive or SSD. U can get the maximum writecycles of Flashdrives at every Vendor and if their SLC, MLC,TLC or QLC. With every bit more in a Cell the Lifetime goes down. If a Cell is dead, its read only and u may have corrupt Data on your Drive if u write something. So fat filesysten is prefered, exfat was further invented for them and journaling filesystems like ntfs are not recommended.

Why not ntfs lite? Or just go and disable the jounaling system? Now u can search, run ,think, go deep and deeper in the filesystems.

At low level, Flashdrives require special handling such as wear levering and different error detection and correction algorithms. Traditional Formats like ntfs writing each time the same blocks, wich would cause dead cells on flashdrives. With wear leveling like exfat has, the write operations are equally distributed over the drive.

As addition s good to know that vedors like Sandisk and Western Digital have build in Controller in their Flash Cards/Sticks and SSD`s to perform wear leveling and other utilitys.

So Its not directly limited to a specific filesystem. U are free to use every filesystem on SSD, but need to know the pro and contras.

maybe someone already said this, but some options in usb loader gx do not work with all games, so you might have to do some trial and error. I know of the big ones is using emunand, some games, like skyward sword, don't like it.

SSDs are flash memory. They are effectively the same thing in this instance. The only difference is that SSDs have multiple flash chips, a controller that sits in front of them that takes care of addressing the individual flash chips and (usually) a DRAM chip used as cache. Whereas a flash drive just has one flash chip.

He's right. exFAT was created to have a "modern" alternative to FAT32 for flash memory because NTFS is not optimized for it. Of course exFAT does not work on the Wii so the best option is FAT32. Wii Backup Manager will split the games automatically for you anyway.

Anyway, make sure video mode is set to disc default and VIDTV patch is off, in global options and per game settings, those options can cause compatibility issues with a lot of games.
