Hi,

I own a WD MyBook Essential 2.0 1TB and yesterday I wanted to put some music on the FAT partition using FTPii (latest version I think downloaded using Homebrew Browser).

Every time I start FTPii my FTP client (FireFTP) shows the NAND, SD and USB. But when I try to put some MP3's in the MUSIC folder the connection to the USB drive gets disconnected.
I have to shut down FTPii, and restart it for it to show up again. Tranfers to SD work flawlessly.

It's not that much of a biggie, because I can just connect the USB drive to my laptop and transfer that way
but I'd like to get it fixed anyways.

Does anyone know what could cause this ? I'm on 4.1E, cIOS Rev 14, Hermes cIOS rev4, DVDx and IOS 202 installed.

Sorry mate - I had exactly the problem/question as you and could'nt solve it.

I just use Wiixplorer and grab what I need from the wii itself - much more stable,
and cios202 for USB2 gives me good transfer speeds.

I would still like to get FTPii going properly...

Here's a link to my thread.

Please let us know if you solve the problem.

Yes !! I 'solved' it !! After doing a lot of reading, I found a few post saying that 0.0.15 worked better
for them than newer versions.

It works for me perfectly !!
