    Hey,

I got a 4GB Kingston DTI G2 USB key. I am using it to put games on it to play on. When I play my games, the music will stop randomly, when I finish the level without the music, the screen goes black/white till I have to keep replugging it and sometimes replugging doesn't work. People said it could be some kind of sleep mode thing. My USB Key ID: 0951

I reformatted and reput the games many of times and no go.

I would like help from the pro's of this community.

It's been reported that not all USB devices work. If you can, try a different one.

Well on the list, it says it is supported and the status is working. I can't try another one because it's the only 4GB I have and don't have any higher then 1GB. I wanted to exchange it but the store manager sucks and says hes not allowed.

Wait...the music stops, but the game itself keeps on playing? A screen going black and white at the end of a level is also pretty weird. I can only mention that it's certainly NOT a sleep mode issue (if that were true, it would block everything). But to solve it, I think the pro's of this forum (I'm not one of them) will want to have more information.

What game(s) have you tried? Do they all have it?
And also: what loader do you use, and what cIOS'es have you tried?
Oh, and finally: what partitioning system do you use on your USB stick?

Yes, I already tested it many of times and even when it was working for a little, it still plays but the music will just stop.

What games have I tried? Here is a list:
    -SMG 2
    -Reel Fishing
    -Pikmin
    -NSMB
    -Wii Play

They ALL do the same thing.

    I used:
    -USB Loader GX
    -WiiFlow
    -CFG USB Loader
I only tried cIOS 249 because I think it's the only one that works and I know how to do. It works with my 1GB perfectly. I am using cIOS rev 17.

What do you mean by "what partitioning system do you use on your USB stick?"??

Try formatting it to fat32 and using Cfg USB Loader. Just put your games in a folder called wbfs in the root of your usb stick. You will need to use cfg loader to transfer your games from disc to stick, or, use a wbfs manager on ur pc to tranfer them if you have ISO files.

without adding a new variable as nikeymikey has suggested, moving to fat32, i'd first try reformatting the device and trying wbfs again. if that fails, perhaps moving away from wbfs is sound advice.

a cios update is probably advised as well.

I will try to the FAT32 suggestion.

I don't know if I wanted to update my REV because people have got problems with 18-19.

Only thing wrong with Rev 19 is that it won't work with Triiforce, which I doubt is an issue since you have a 4GB USB Drive.

been using rev19 since it's release without any issues and it plays SMG2 just fine using wiiflow R25 with an external hard drive formatted to wbfs

So you have no 222 or 223 installed?

Could it be you were using the 222 boot.dol of wiiflow instead of the 249 boot.dol?

Also how did you try to install it that it turned your wiiremote off? by the cios installer?

If that didn't work then use wad manager and install the wad files of ios 222 and 223 you can get them from xzxero guide that is at the top of the wii hacking forum.

Dude, you don't get it. It works on my 1GB USB Key but not on my 4GB. I know what I installed.

Well since you said that it told you that you needed 222 or 223 it sounded to me like you didn't have those installed.

Also just because its on the wiki as "working" doesn't mean shit.
Anyone can edit that thing and put whatever they want.

Also is there any preinstalled software on the 4gb flash drive?
I know some flash drives have preinstalled software that can mess with usb loaders.

Also you said it works on your 1gb usb key. What works the game? or wiiflow?

There is NO extra software on the USB Key. It's empty.
