the ismart mm doesn't run in dsi-mode, so i'm confused as well as to what the change log means and how the 1st response relates.

-another world
i think he's just saying it runs fast, not faster than on lite

I reported a bug to tysong in the beta 1.0 where i was not able to run the plugin on my dsi but was able on my dslite.
He fixed it and i don't know why, belive me or not, on my DSi there is a little improvement about the speed.

If someone can explain that fact, i will be glad to know.

More details about iSmartLinux beta1.1

Quote"
This is a Linux plug-in for the iSmart MM flashcart. it allow you to run Dingux Z4 distribution on it.

Readme.txt :

You need to prepare the documents:
dingux Z4 system files(other versions were not tested, maybe you can try).
iSmart system files (iSmart official release).

Need to replace the files:
rootfs zImage zImage_noipu zImage_ipu

Need to add the files:
iSmart_drv.ko
ismartplug/iSmartLinux.plg ismartplug/iSmartLinux.ini ismartplug/iSmartLinux.bmp

1. Check whether the memory card is FAT32 format, first use, we recommend a full format, then enter the following installation steps.

2. Firstly, copy rootfs (core system files) to the memory card.

3. And then copy zImage, zImage_noipu, zImage_ipu and iSmart_drv.ko to the memory card.

4. After confirm the above files are copied, copy the folders of LOCAL, GAME, MUSIC, VIDEO, PICTURE, PDF (dingux Z4 system files) to the memory card completely.

5. Copy iSmart system folder _ismart and ismartplug (iSmart official release) to the memory card.

6. Copy the three files (iSmartLinux.plg, iSmartLinux.ini and iSmartLinux.bmp) in the folder of ismartplug to the memory card ismartplug folder.
At this point, all files are installed, you can immediately start using.

Full pack of iSmartLinux v1.1 available on filetrip : http://filetrip.net/file.php?id=25444

This is the iSmartLinux plug-in beta 1.1 + the Dingux Z4 distro + dmenu english translation for the iSmart MM flashcart.
There is no bioses inside, check the readme file.
You've been reading my mind. I was about to ask if there's any English version of the Linux so that I can pretend I know what I'm doing.

How to let it work on my ismart mm ?
Some guys said it's a so amzing operation but other guys tell me it's just a simple change .
What's your choice if you have the same flashcard and a dsi 1.4.3E?
I'm not sure to understand. Are you using an english translator ?

Rather than use Panasonic Formatter to format your card you have to use the standard Windows formatter. After that just install the files from the latest version (1.2 beta).

Still the source for the linux will be interesting to port over to SCDS2 although I doubt many will be happy about the filesystem issues and then they have to find someone willing to port it as well.
