I am sure others can clarify but it is not a successor but an alternative cart- many teams have cheaper alternatives or premium products for those that want them.

Looks like EX4i is getting some competition
The EX4i died the instant it was revealed it was an R4 menu with no configurable GBA emu.

The iSmart MM will have to pull some SERIOUS weight if it hopes to out-do the DSTwo, because I see no features that the already trusted DStwo does.

What advantage does the DSTwo have? An open SDK that is already providing promises of all kinds of emulators.

I think this cart will follow the EX4i,
ismart has terrible homebrew compatibility, and can't even run commercial roms right
the ismart tried to compete with the Acekard and it failed

now it wants to compete with the dstwo?? lol
But I'm pretty sure it'll be a little better than the EX4i, and I might buy one if they sell it under $20

If they're as smart as their name implies they'd make the ismart more powerful than the dstwo so they could have full speed GBA emu.

They're probably going to end up using the exact same processor.

Dingoo, DStwo, iPlayer, EX4i, I think these actually all use the same DIPS processor.

It has nothing to do with the Speed. Its about Programming and maybe the architecture of the chip, which is for such a low end emulation not really interesting.

as with the ismart premium they will pull it off as far as the hardware is concerned. i mean the ez vi oem was a great idea and i'm sure this card will be another oem design. i just hope they can support this one. the ez flash firmware they purchased for the ismart premium had the same problems as the ev vi. perhaps the 3rd party solutions will prove to be worth using and those same developers will support this card.

This is sort of off topic, but AW, have you tried FishShell?

I imagine this can only be a good thing if iSmart puts out a multimedia cart and open sources it. Sure the Supercard DS TWO has their SDK, but not everyone has access to it. I'd like to see random games or homebrew take advantage of the processor.

Only a few people have access to the SDK because it's still in beta. When they finally get all the bugs out of it, they will open it up to the world.
