I have in my possession 2 Wii consoles. One is my own, that I've had for a number of years. (This is the one that I would prefer to continue using as my primary.) The other is one that I received recently from a friend that no longer needed/wanted his. His is an older version than mine, as it allows BootMii in boot2, and mine does not.

Both are soft modded, and are nearly identically set up from what I can tell. USB Loader GX works well (USB HDD, formatted as FAT32), from the few games I've tested, and (for the most part) Homebrew works.

However, certain homebrew titles simply do not work on my unit. The easiest example I can give is "Giddy 3". (I can't post links yet, but it can be found at wiibrew, or at: blog.retroleum.co.uk/giddy3) On MY Wii, it crashes while loading. It gives an ISI error, and a bunch of numbers. On Wii # 2, it runs fine. I've tried several different SD cards, as well as trying to load it from USB. None of that seems to make a difference. Mod Mii says that both are up to date, with nothing to change.

I've compared syscheck logs on both, as well as used the "Inspect Mii" app. And everything appears to be the same. Is there something else I should be looking at? I've included the syscheck logs, in case there is something I am missing...

Does NewoZero work on both? Alot of those wii homebrew need to be re-compiled. It could be the controller too so - if you have a none motion plus controller.

Hey, thanks for the reply! I'd almost given up. ;-)

All of the Newo Homebrew works fine, on both systems. I'm 97% sure that the controller is not part of the issue at all, because I am actually just taking the same controller between the systems, and resyncing it for each.

I keep as much the same between the systems as I can:
Controller
SD Card
USB HDD

They are both hooked up to different TVs, and I suppose that could possibly be a contributing factor. I'm not sure how component vs composite cables could do that though...

Currently "my" Wii is downloading covers for the USB loader, and the connection is glacially slow. When it finishes, I'll take both Wiis to the same room, and actually use the exact same connections and everything for them.

Both units are the white Wii, with GameCube ports and everything. The only difference I can discern between them is that one has the ability to install BootMii as boot2, and the other does not.

If the systems are all update with the same version then it must be one of the iOS that is different which is causing the crash. There is a way to view all the installed iOS versions - i think. Or Bad sector on the Nand? backup the nands and see what they look like. thats pretty much all i can think of. I dont think you want to formate both of them. I personally perfer the one with Bootmii as boot2 - quicker start up.
