Isn't this just converting any anime that breaks its rules into 18+?
IE: it doesn't really change THAT much, except TV aired anime?

It changes a lot for shows currently deemed acceptable for children that are only moderately violent. I don't understand the guys motives though, this guy just sounds like some pissy old fart who hates everything and wants to ban entertainment that isn't extremely explicit from the younger audience. If he had his way here, shows like Family Guy would never be viewed by anyone under 18 and their core audience is 16-24 year olds. Ishihara sounds like a fucking nut and a half who needs to have his balls ripped out and stuffed down his throat to choke on.

Unfortunately it's the only way this law can die and we all move on with our lives. Talk hasn't helped, the rest of the Japanese government has failed, the older population of Japan made it worse, it may not be the best way, but it's the only way.
