Is watching Saw V requires seeing III and IV to get it all?

Hi,

I saw first two in the series but didnt the IV and III and I just got the V, I was curious to know if watching previous movies is required to understand it all and if not, how much it will affect the experience.

Pretty much as you'll need to know what is going on with Jigsaw.

The series is pretty boring after the first one and the last film was laughably bad. Be warned.

Yeah, you won't understand a thing if you haven't watched the whole series. IMO, it all goes downhill from the first one, but it's still something worth watching, even if it's only to kill the time.

Well, IV was really THE worst for me..V is bad, but watchable..
You'll have hard time understanding the story without previous sequels, but story is stupid anyways..you could just watch it for the gore!

you get more out of it if you have seen the previous ones.

however, like everyone else has said, it recent ones pale in comparison.

if you just going for a scary movie, it'll do the trick. well, I think it is scary.
