I read somewhere that the famous Waninkoko is considering a new filesystem for the USB loader, is this true?

    where did you read that?

Imo it's unnessary. WBFS works just fine for me.
There should be a defrag and a "partition-resize" function tho.

I dont think he will change file system or create a new one, simply updating the existing WBFS is enough. No need for a different file system really.

Don't think so. Since that delete bug has been fixed, the current WBFS is working just fine

He's aware that some games don't work. It's a well known problem and is likely being looked at.

yeah, i doubt that he wants another member to tell him what we all already know.
plus WBFS is working really great, there's no need to change to a new fs.

dude, the loader is open source, EVERYONE including him knows all the bugs, so someone will have to fix it. Doesn't have to be waninkoko himself. You don't have to tell him anything [IMG]

There's a rumour about Wanin considering a new file system for the USB Loader... based on his vague response to being asked if USB Loader will ever work with NTFS... but it's been stated that it won't be NTFS, FAT, ext, or any other computer native FS. As it stands, WBFS works great, so there's no point in any other FS unless they're trying to implement some kind of new feature/program/system/something.

Games that currently don't work (either requiring a disk or a specific IOS) and problems with USB peripherals (USB mic for instance) are all supposed to be addressed and fixed in cIOS rev11. There's a beta of it already out, but it's been expressed that it's a beta with many bugs so only experienced testers should try it.

All of this is old news (I last heard about it 2-3 weeks ago). If you want to dig around for information, look for posts regarding cIOS rev10. There are many, but that's how rumours work - people who know nothing about it speculate in a hundred threads and then get forgotten, very much like this thread.
