You really don't need a Wii Fan at all....... Unless you play inside of an oven or something. There really is no care taking guide, I wipe mines down to keep dust off. Don't through the controller and try not to knock it over. That's the only two things your really need...

Well, I want to get it because my Wii is near the window and I think the sun is harming my Wii, and besides, more fans the better, Processor would be cooler thus better performance, abit like a car, get an induction kit and your engine can draw in air quickly.

My computer has 5 fans and it only needs 2, but it still overheats with 5, Idk maybe because I leave it on 24/7 and since i got 5 fans my computer has been working faster, and The wii itself, is basically a computer, but the processor is designing for gaming, like a gaming computers processor.

The wii does not need a extra fan. It doesn't get warm enough for it to get damaged, even if it is in sun light.

The only way of it getting too warm is when WiiConnect24 is on. And even then, the fan won't be used.

My wiiconnect is on 24/7, my wii is on Standby orange light, and as far as I am aware, The wii does give power to the USB sockets when in standby, but dosnt give power in red mode, this is because people use usb wiimote chargers..

Im getting it anyway, its £3 plus postage so i guess it wont hurt.

Uh... the only similarities between processors and cars are that they're designed for use within a temporal range. Cooling a processor does not act to improve its performance, nor will it extend its life.

In fact, if you knew anything about physics, you would find that electrons transfer energy faster as heat is increased. Look up "electron enhancement via superthermal conduction". The only reason to cool a processor, besides avoiding burning skin/plastic, is that excess energy in the form of heat causes excess EMI, which can cause transistors to err.

The reason your computer overheats is because you designed it poorly. You probably didn't even account for the pressure change in your case, and thus three of those 5 fans are proabably blowing inward. I could get as much airflow from two of your fans as you do with all 5 because of the way you have them set up.

If you really want to protect your Wii so it'll never break, pack it up back in the box...

If your worried about a lil extra warmth from your Wii due to WC24, just take a PC fan, splice the wires with an old USB cable to create a USB powered fan, then place your Wii on top of the fan, so that it keeps to cool.

I have an old fan taken from a Comcast DVR box that has rubber feet that keep it off the wood of my entertainment center, and keeps the Wii off the fan... I leave my WC24 on, and keep the Wii on the fan... it doesn't get nearly as hot...

The USB fan will actually wear out your internal fan faster because of the air directions... just leave WC24 off if you don't want it over heating!

I never designed my computer, as im aware its made by sony..

anyway i think my computer performs better, not to mention it used to overheat and crash..i think its faster at cooler tempretures, and so do many other people over the internet, search cpu cooling on google. sorry if im trying to be smart or anything but its my opinion and it actually works for me.

Its better to be safe then sorry

It doesn't work for you. You're deluded.

Cooling your PC or any electronics doesn't make it work faster.

    This is a fact.

My computer runs faster at a cooler rate, this is a fact. I dont know about yours, but mine does. and dont revert to name calling to release your anger, it does not really help anyone apart from yourself.
