Hello, I found a video game capture device for $50 which is pretty cheap. I want to start making some gaming videos such as playing Wii U games and in the future the Switch. (2 months from now!!!). Can you give me some advice about this capture card?

No offense to anyone, but i dunno about this specifically cause I never bought one. But is cheap and from china... we usually don't get along with those listings, just my experience.

I have least 2, one is called the Live gamer portable by avermedia, Is a portable Capture device capible of 720P 60FPS and 1080P 30FPS but you don't need a PC to use, just a SDXC memory card. Is quite good for what is worth, is not as cheap or expensive like the Elgato or some others but not many are working without PC requirements.

Another i had i didn't like very much but it worked, just i didn't like the software that came with it, Also it just was kinda confusing and i guess it maybe my PC i had problems with but it worked, I think is called Roxio Game chapture HD pro. But is just my opinion. It not well known as some others.

You may wanna consult others i guess, just trying to help out. I don't have dozens of cash to drop on High end equipment like Elgato 1080P 60FPS or 4K whatever, or that FRAMEMISTER or whatever is called. Though the Mister is usually for upscalining Classic games that don't have HD or HDMI support i think. But only if you refuse to get the console hard mod for the enhance picture on HDTV or use emulator which is probably more cheaper in my opinion :P

It seems a little expensive. My budget is around $50.

You can't really get a nice capture device for under 50$, but you can see how good this is. Don't expect to record at something like 4K. I don't even see a system your going to try to record with, what are you going to record with this? Do you have a computer capable of recording stuff off this?

All I would want is to be able to record simple gameplay from something like the Wii U. 720p/1080p is good for me anyways.

I am in the budget of around $50 because I want to save money for the Switch, which I would like to record gamplay of when it comes out. Recording at 1080p, 30fps is ok, right?

60fps is my preference, but if we're being honest here, most people do not notice the fps difference. The youtube viewers do not really care. It's up to you, really

I'd recommend a capture device from Elgato (gamecapture pro) or Blackmagic Design (Intensity Pro 4K)
