Is there a way that i can put this custom pokemon pearl .sav file onto my retail version of the game?

i ask this becuz the save file is practically all the pokemon in the game in my storage and i dont want to be constantly trading pokemon from my HG rom to my retail pearl, so i want to be able to put the .sav file onto the retail version so it is easier and faster. Is it possible to do this??????? if it is plz explain how.
