I've been thinking about getting a new laptop for a while now, and I recently came across one that caught my eye a bit. Now, I'm not that big of a computer geek, so I'm not aware of whether these specs below are great for the price or not. Anyways the laptop is:

Acer Aspire 15.6"
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)
Processor: Intel Core i3 370M
CPU: Dual Core, 2.4 GHz
Hard Drive: 500GB
RAM: 4GB
Graphics Chipset: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470

That for $649.99.

I'm thinking of running some games on it, and the fact it includes a non-integrated graphics card while having a relatively decent CPU is what really caught my eye. I doubt this setup will run the latest titles, but it should be able to run some at least on medium specs right? My current laptop lacks a decent CPU, so it takes forever to start-up and load things. Some older games can run well, but new games definitely lag like crazy.

So anyways, please give me your opinions on whether this is a good deal or not. Or, recommend me something even better for a good price (something under $1000 I'll be able to get away with).

Thats a low end dedicated GPU, it should run most modern games at low to medium settings, and most old games at high, the big factor is does that laptop's GPU use GDDR3 or GDDR5? there is massive performance difference between the two.
