So, I'm still looking to buy a computer as the one i have is pretty bad (thought not as bad as bonemonkeys), and I was checking SD today when I saw this deal. http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=794975
    Stats are
    Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q6600 (8MB L2 cache,2.4GHz,1066FSB) SMQ66H [223-5256]
Genuine Windows® XP Professional - English WPXP
    3GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz - 4 DIMMs 3GB64 [311-7749]
No moniter (I don't need one, so no need to suggest buy one)
    500GB Serial ATA Hard Drive (7200RPM) w/DataBurst Cache™ 500S [341-4811]
Integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3100 IV

So obviously, you can tell the graphics card is gonna be a POS. But, this computer is only about 500 dollars, and I have a budget of 800. My main question is, will a Dell insperon 530 be abke to handle an 8800gts 512, or will it not be compatible and not work.

What kind of computer do you need? Working computer? Gaming? Media? Please give more information. But for a $500 computer, i guess it isn't that bad, but honestly, it sucks just as a computer.

I'll be using it for school, as well as gaming. It's obvious the graphics card sucks, which is why i'm upgrading it. But, i'm trying to figure out if it is compatible with 8800gts series.

Its a good basic configuration but it might be cheaper to build it yourself.

You will be able to add a graphic card without any problems.

Keep it mind that Dell's motherboard are locked, and you wont be able to overclock your cpu, if you care.

I would build your own. Q6600 sucks without overclocking it to 3ghz + imo. Everything else is fine apart from the RAM. 800 mhz ram is cheap as chips now.

Buy it, and stick in a $250 graphics card.
