Is this a Fake Kirby Game?

    Is this a bootleg? It came from china, but I want opinions first before I toss it. It works fine, and the cartridge looks official. Is this China's English version maybe?

    I just found something else out. By reading the manual, they have stolen from Gamespot's Preview of the game.

    I LOL'd really hard when on page 20, they said "Check back soon for more coverage when Kirby Super Star Ultra is released on September 29".

    Ummm hello, this is December, and KSSU has already been released...DEFINTELY A FAKE!!

    Looks like a genuine American version to me. Bootlegs don't usually have manuals, and the printing quality looks good enough.

    It seems fine to me, compared to the one I have (cept mine has French text too).
    If it works, then why not keep it?

    Well the reason I would toss it is because since it is illegal for sellers to sell counterfeit copies of games...would me owning own be bad as well?

    Not really. You unknowingly purchased something that was represented as a genuine product. The sellers are the ones responsible for checking if their goods are legit.

    Looking at it more closely, I take back my words. The text on the back of the box is totally off. Looks like it's a bootleg after all. A pretty damn good one though.

    Yeah, the manual has like 30 pages...but all the pages just goes on and on about how to play and what's in it, the pictures and some of the random "Purple" kirby pictures in it don't mix in with the paragraphs of each page.

    In the inside, I couldn't get the light to reflect the camera well, but inside, the "Nintendo DS" emblem is on it, embedded/beveled.

    I have to agree that this is a pretty convincing fake, if it is one. The clear case is surprising, but that could be how they are in some places in china. Did the game come with any other paperwork besides the manual, such as registration fliers or anything like that?

    The text on the back is totally wonky. The first word is "KKirby" and then the second sentence is repeated again at the end.

    EDIT: Also, it is only illegal to sell counterfeit items.

    Well my Nlntondo GBA game was pretty convincing. Well, till I found out it said Nlntondo instead of Nintendo anyway.

    No that's it, box, manual, and game cartridge. The Game came in a new manner, with the shrink wrap that official games come with.

    The text starts repeating itself at the end as well. Obviously some Chinese dude just copy-pasted that off IGN or something, thought it wasn't long enough and pasted it again. XP

    Terrible spelling = bootleg. But it's a pretty good one at that. If the game plays fine, keep it.

    great fake, the chinese are getting better at this...I saw some pretty amazing stuff from them, btw did someone see the DS multicarts?

    It says kkirby on the back. Not so genuine. ook?

    Also they have butchered the grammar on the back of the box.
