Whether its booting up ISO's (besides that usb gecko thing) or playing backup discs. Is there anyway to play gcn games on an unmodded wii? If there isn't is there anyway to play gcn backups/ISO's any other way? EDIT: OOPS i meant gcn games as in backups, topic is a little misleading.

Seriously, how many topics do we need? Read around a little bit beforehand. Not trying to be mean, just tired of all these GC ISO threads that are popping up.
And it MAY be possible at some point.

As you already pointed out yourself, emu_kidid's usb gecko method is currently the only way to boot cube iso's without a modchip on a Wii. http://www.tehskeen.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7362

I'm not even 100% sure that will even work since I believe you can no longer load cube homebrew using the old action replay exploit. You could on the first batch of Wii's but didn't nintendo patch that in Firmware updates after launch?
