as i know you update nsp offline via sx os.
I don't know man I'm a little scared atm. I'm doing good now updating all the backups with original fw and online with paladins and fortnite, and playing the actual backups with SX.
Also I still remember TX mailed a guy here saying they're working on a less bannable version.

Now that we're talking about xci and stuff, do you guys know if Resident Evil Revelations 2 exist in xci format? Can't find it anywhere.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 is digital only so there wouldn't be an XCI dump.

I even updated a game (Mario + Rabbids) in SX OS itself by accident, but so far (as of a couple of days ago, that is) no ban here. Bans seems to be rather random for now, but I fully expect to be banned in the nearby future. When that time comes, I'll update all my games in SX OS and install NSPs, but I remain cautious till that time comes.

I’ve updated about 25 backups all the official way, not banned yet. Never installed an nsp as trying to keep my band as clean as poss and don’t really see the point as xci’s work well enough.

I only go online in OFW, and only for Splatoon 2. Otherwise everything else is installed via SD card. I only update my cartridge games when I have the cartridge inserted, and only from OFW. No ban yet.

You do you baby! My ban is probably coming. I'm screaming notice me Nintendo! Next step is changing my profile picture to a dick pic.
Change it to one that's Nintendo-related, but not official... Like Luigi with his vacuum. See if they even notice at all.

Or you can just keep updating your games normally because getting banned doesn't block you from updating games or updating the firmware.

I don't see why you people care if you get banned anyway. If you go online with SX OS, you will be banned no matter precautions you get (even if you do it by booting OFW or erasing all logs). There is no avoiding it.

If you actually update your games via nsp and remain offline, it doesn't matter either because you will not be able to play online anyway because you're remaining offline. Even if you clean your console of every traces of homebrew and erase the logs, decide to go legit, you will still get banned anyway.

If you really want to go online, the only way to do it is to buy a new console, don't use the same account as your banned one (because they will likely ban every Switches associated with an account) and just never install any homebrew or temper with the console in any way, because Nintendo doesn't care if you don't pirate, any form of homebrew will get you a ban eventually.

You're totally right, I don't know why I am being so careful either because I don't really care about online gaming on my Switch (I prefer local multiplayer), but here I am doing it anyway. Just checked yesterday evening and still haven't been banned yet. I will probably do more game updates because that update prompt is rather annoying every time you want to start a game and I'll just wait and see.

Oh well. It will basically just become a PSP at that point. Emulators and single player games. Unless you play Splatoon or Mario Kart online, a ban almost sounds like a blessing for pirates... Being able to still update firmware and stolen games...
