No easy way... this is how i got mine to sort:

1 Format SD Card
2 Build up DSTT folder on PC with things alphabetized

my example:
/Games/ alphabetized
/Homebrewapps/ alphabetized
/Homebrewgames/ alphabetized

3 Copy to SD Card

So my dstt menu has:
A-Z games, A-Z homebrew apps then A-Z homebrew games

I haven't got mine yet but I recall a tool called fatsort being mentioned.

Windows: http://hem.passagen.se/chsw/fatsort/index.html
Linux/Mac: http://fatsort.berlios.de/

Also you don't have to order the files on your PC, you could just rename the folder on the SD, create a new one to replace it, and then drag the files to the new one in the order you want. (Maybe using alphabetical sorting in the explorer window), or something to that effect.

I think if you format your card in FAT32, you wont have problems.

Since we have this sorting problem in G6 and it uses FAT16 and we have to use programs like FATSORT (which I used for one year).

Does formatting microSD with FAT32 still have this bug? or formatting with FAT32 solves sorting problem?

This should be the responsibility of the software using the files not the filesystem itself.
THIS IS NOT A BUG! If you want to complain, you should be asking the DSTT/TTDS team to add some sorting options as a feature.
Until then be thankful that tools like fatsort are available to remedy the issue, and if you want to customise things you can still do it manually.

scubotic, it is about its file system which is FAT.
since its software asks file system about the actual file names and what FAT gives back is the unsorted one.

there are some users here who can help about this too.

Would someone please format it as FAT32 and see if it is still unsorted or not?

I can second that. Formatted FAT32 and still sorted by date added rather than alphabetically. A couple of posters mentioned using FATSort, as an alternative you can use Drive Sort
Hope this helps

so it is sorted by something and its by date by default, it is far different than FAT's standard no sorting.

so they just need to replace the sorting by date to filename (and why they didnt in the first place!)

They're not sorted by date, they're sorted by when the files were added to the card. This is because the file system builds the table of contents as you add things and the TopToy is just listing the ToC. You'll find that if you remove a file and then add a new one, the new file will appear in the same place as the old one.

Most slot-2 flash carts worked this way and it's like being back in the stone age using the TopToy after all the other slot-1 cards that do proper sorting. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

ُSweater, the reason behind slot-2's was of their FAT16 file system but even if you format microSD in FAT32, you'll still have this problem, and thats strange.
